Marine Service Engineer & Support Specialist

Eurotex International Ltd, specialise in diesel engine refurbishment and mechanical services for a variety of marine and land based operations. Part of the Tex Holdings Group, our recent relocation to group headquarters in Gt Blakenham, Suffolk, provides an opening for an experienced Marine Service Engineer. We welcome applications from experienced or equivalently qualified engineers, with detailed knowledge of diesel engines and mechanical services. The ideal candidate will have experience across a range of marine engines and will be required to undertake some UK and overseas travel as necessary. The 35 hour working week is based around weekly shifts: Mon–Thur, 8 am–4 pm and Friday 8 am –1 pm. Salary range offered in accordance with knowledge and experience.

Eurotex International are the world-renowned engine refurbishment specialist, offering through-life support of marine, traction and land based diesel engines.

INMEX SMM India 2017 was a great success and Eurotex International would like to send out a big thank you to colleagues, partners, clients and industry leaders from 32 countries. Once again INMEX has proved to be a fantastic venue and allowed us to demonstrate our unrivalled expertise in engine refurbishment and through-life support of marine, traction and land based diesel engines.

The Tex Special Projects stand featured UK’s Royal Navy Queen Elizabeth Class Aircraft Carrier, the biggest and most powerful warship ever constructed for the Royal Navy, and showcased the technologically advanced FLYCO (Flying Control Room) designed and manufactured by Tex. In recognition of the contribution to both the project and the innovation of such an advance in glazing for the maritime environment, Tex Special Projects was awarded the industry coveted BAE Systems Design Award.

Eurotex International, along with other companies in the Tex Holdings Group are now represented in India by Pratex Power Vision. The Pratex stand showcased UK’s Royal Navy Queen Elizabeth Class Aircraft Carrier, the biggest and most powerful warship ever constructed for the Royal Navy; the advanced FLYCO (Flying Control Room) was designed and manufactured by Tex Special Projects.

Eurotex International displayed recent projects including a refurbished Paxman 12RP200 engine, a Ruston RK engine undergoing in situ maintenance, a Paxman 16YJ engine in build, a Royal Navy River Class Vessel and INS VIRAAT refurbished generator engine.

Key members from the Tex Holdings Group were able to attend including Shankar Mathur (Director, Pratex Power Vision), Ratee Prasad (Managing Director, Pratex Power Vision), Amanda Ritchie (Technical Consultant), Stephen Codd (Managing Director, Eurotex International), David Ritchie (Technical Consultant, Tex Special Projects), and Greg Chadwick (Managing Director, G&M Tex).
